The establishment of a major downtown regional campus to expand degree programs and interface with medical and business professions required new educational, residential, and infrastructure construction. In addition to the signature carillon tower that trademarks both of Grand Valley State’s campuses, multiple facilities transformed a largely abandoned industrial area immediately adjacent to the downtown into a thriving campus that serves thousands of students and the community.
